Goodbye Sweet Patsy Cline

Yesterday, we lost our sweet Patsy Cline unexpectedly. She was part of our family and we will miss her terribly. We will miss her... running laps around the coffee table, sneaking off with our socks, curling up like a cinnamon roll on the La-Z-Boy, tap dancing every morning on the hardwood floor next to our bed, greeting us, excited-as-can-be, when we come home.

Please forgive me if I'm slow to post or respond to your comments at this time. It's so much quieter around our house now. It will take some time for me to adjust and get back into a blog routine.

Patsy was with me, when I started this blogventure (hence the name). She always managed to sneak into my shots, whenever I was shooting for a post. She was very curious about my projects, as you can see...

Robot Gifts

I found a lot of robot gifts for Baby Riot that also doubled as decorations for the shower. I want to share them with you, as well as great gifts from other people at the shower, in case any of you know a little boy who loves robots.

Forget the teddy bear, this stuffed robot is the cutest thing ever, right? Riot's gonna love him!

This book is ADORABLE. There are gears that spin, which will be great when the baby gets a little older.

Welcome Planter Box

I wanted something colorful and welcoming for our front porch. I went on down to Lowe's and bought this cedar planting box.

And they had these flowers, Lantanas, on sale 4 for $10. I love how each bloom has multiple colors. I found out they are also referred to as Ham 'n Eggs, because of their yellow and pink clusters.

Meet Patsy

This is Ms. Patsy Cline, my new side-kick.

She is a miniature Dachshund with a dapple honey color.

She enjoys napping, chasing her ball, and sneaking out of my room, like a ninja, with mismatched socks.

We're working on potty-training and it isn't easy. You would think, having taught high school students for a couple of years, that I would have plenty of patience. On the contrary, she has taught is teaching me to be more patient.
