5 Days of Felt : Felt Gift Bows

It's Day Two of 5 Days of Felt and today I want to share how to make reusable felt bows. The beauty of these little guys is that they can't get crushed in the car, on the way to family gatherings, like paper bows do. And they cost around 50 cents each! These were inspired by How About Orange's magazine bow tutorial.

What you'll need :
   - 9"x12" sheets of felt
   - ruler
   - scissors or rotary cutter
   - hot glue gun and glue

Start by cutting 9 strips of felt that are 3/4 inch wide. Take 3 strips and cut off 1 inch. Take 3 more strips and cut off 2 inches. Then 2 strips remove 3 inches. The last strip should be only 3 1/2 inches long.

Once your strips are cut, take each strip and twist it around to form two loops and hot glue into place. Do this with all strips except for the shortest one. Take the shortest strip and glue to form one small circle.

Now start with the biggest piece and hot glue from biggest to smallest on top of each other at different angles until you finish with the small circle on top. Now you got yourself one good-lookin' reusable bow. How cute would these be under the tree?
